Why Egypt? Cairo ICT, organizer of the most influential exhibition in the Middle East, gets to the heart of it. “Spring is about transition from one state to the other”. And this is exactly what happened in Egypt. “Driven by a will to open a new chapter in history Egyptians make use of ICTs as the changing political landscape opens doors and unveils business opportunities.

From April 26^th to April 29^th 2012 the WSA Winners will present the best e-content and most inspiring digital narratives from over 460 projects and 105 countries at the Cairo ICT. Make sure to be part of the Winners’ Gala on Friday April 27^th at 9 p.m.

The WSA Winners’ Events at the Cairo ICT will include four days bristling with exciting topics and workshops. The Egyptian Winners of World Summit Youth Award Kherna, Harassmap, Zabatak and Girls Only Radio Station will conduct a Young Egypt Developers seminar. Other session will be dedicated to Arab E-Content Solutions, best African ICT4D practices and the possibilities to use mobile telephony for social inclusion. The WSA Winners Event will be celebrated in cooperation with the international trade fair Cairo ICT 2012 and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) under the patronage of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology H.E. Mohamed Salem.
